Joana Galego (b. 1994) moved to London in 2016 to study at the Royal Drawing School after finishing her Painting BA at the Faculty of Fine Arts of the University of Lisbon. Joana presented the solo exhibitions mole lunar sinal at Soho Revue in 2023, spring and all at the Royal Drawing School in 2019 and lugar indeciso at Museu das Artes de Sintra in 2016, and has participated in group shows since 2013, including: Out of Nowhere, Soho Revue (2022), London Art Fair with Aleph Contemporary (2022), What I See I Will Never Tell, Wilder Gallery, (2021); and The Best of the Drawing Year, Christie’s London (2018). She has been a member of Lewisham Arthouse since 2020 and is currently working in her studio in South East London after participating in Biennial Jatim X in East Java and the IFA Residency with the Royal Drawing School in Modinagar, India.
